Hi, I’m Ernesto, UX-Visual designer based in Chicago, IL with 10+ years of design experience at leading global fashion companies. I transitioned into UX in 2020, to further expand my reach as a designer. I love to bring value to the community through product design. 

Born and raised in Uruguay, the rural surroundings influenced my vision of design: simple, real, honest, human… I believe good design must be user-centric in order to mean something.

Working as a fashion designer for over a decade in New York and Tokyo, taught me the values of hard work, tenacity, creativity, exploration, attention to detail, and continuous research & testing in order to make a great product.

In fact, the design process and tools I utilized in my fashion design work have seamlessly translated into my UX work; including customer research, concept ideation, storytelling, competitor’s analysis, visual design, use of color, shape & balance. A good clothing collection is, in fact, a well-put-together design system.

Outside of UX, I am passionate about product development, education, mentoring others, and learning new design software and dogs!
